Christmas illustrations for Fortnum & Mason

I'm so excited to share this new work for Fortnum & Mason available online and instore now. I was commissioned to draw their beautiful historic store on 181 Piccadilly in London, and fill the windows with Christmas treats and gifts. I really enjoyed working on all the tiny details, particularly the beehives on the roof, and it's so lovely to see it printed up instore!

Below you can see how it changed during the design process, initially using soft colours and gradually adding more detailing and brighter colours.

The design has been used for three biscuit tins, each has a wind up mechanism at the bottom and plays a choice of Christmas songs; Jingle Bells, We Wish you a Merry Christmas or the special 2013 edition The First Noel.

Here you can see the tin featuring in their Christmas window...

and on the shelves instore...

I also created this tin of handmade fudge...

And a choice of card or traditional wooden advent calendars...

Big thanks to F&M for such a wonderful commission! x
